Chettinad & Malabar Cuisine KL
Indian Empire's Regional Indian Delights section is built around two South Indian culinary traditions: Chettinad, from Tamil Nadu, and Malabar, from Kerala. Both are cooked with roasted spices and coconut, but each has its own character.
From Chettinad, the menu features Chettinad Gobi Masala, cauliflower cooked in a spicy coconut and roasted spice base, and Chettinad Attu Elumbu Curry, a Tamil Nadu-style mutton curry made with spices and roasted coconut paste. From Malabar, there's Malabar Kozhi Curry, a chicken curry cooked with coconut milk, roasted spices, and curry leaves, alongside Malabar-style seafood in the restaurant's seafood section.
These regional dishes sit alongside Indian Empire's North Indian cooking, Mughal-influenced curries, clay oven grills, and biryanis, giving guests a way to explore specific Indian regional cuisines within one Bukit Bintang restaurant.
Check current Chettinad and Malabar dishes on the full menu, or book a table to try them at No. 18, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.
